WESTSIDE WHISTLE: V. 3 I. 7
Are you going to be ready when the Lord calls?
“Jesus has fulfilled all His signs; it is only man that is waiting for Him to come and collect His holy harvest”
BIBLE BYTE:
JOHN 12: 12 - 19: (Jesus Enters Jerusalem) NASB
12 On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 took the branches of the palm trees and went to meet Him, and began to shout, “Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WOO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel.”
14 Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it, as it is written,
15 “FEAR NOT DAUGHTER OF ZION; BEHOLD, YOUR KING IS COMING, SEATED ON A DONKEY’S COLT.”
16 These things His disciples did not understand at the first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him.
17 So the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him.
18 For this reason also the people went and met him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.
19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are not doing any good: look the world has gone after Him.”

OUR STUDY OF THE LIFE OF JOSEPH:
Join us at Westside Baptist Church Sunday morning as we look at the story and life of Joseph found within the book of Genesis; chapters 37 – 50. We will be studying Genesis 38: 1-12 this Sunday; and the entire chapter of Genesis 38 on Easter Sunday. We will see how Joseph’s life can be transferred and interact in our own personal lives today. Please feel welcome to join us Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM as Brother J. T. leads us through this study of Joseph’s life. Each Sunday’s sermon is a standalone sermon, but over all they are tied together to tell an amazing and all encompassing life for Joseph that God is truly a full part of throughout it all. You will learn something new from man’s past as God build our future. If you miss a sermon in this series, do not worry, you can listen to them via our website at www.wsidebaptist.com. You will find the sermons listed under the SERMONS tap at the top of the webpage for your convenience.
GREATER THINGS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE WITH LITTLE STEPS:
Wednesday evenings, Westside Baptist is doing “GREATER THINGS” in our community. What are you doing Wednesday evenings? We are meeting at the Clarity Solutions Center located at 116 E. Memorial Drive in E-Town starting at 6:30 pm. We always have a time of prayer and then community service work to follow. The little projects and tasks we are performing to help the Clarity Center are making a difference for those that come there seeking assistance. We may not be able to move mountains, but every job we do to improve things for others is a blessing for both the recipient and the worker at the same time. We all have many talents and skills, so why not join us Wednesday evening and user your gifts God blessed you with for the betterment of our community. We hope to see you there.
HOME BIBL FELLOWSHIP:

WE NEED YOUR HELP:
Now that spring is here, we at Westside Baptist are kicking off our evangelism efforts a new. We need your help though! How you can help us comes in many ways; the following is just a sample of the ways you can help us out. 1. PRAYER 2. Supply us with the names of people and their contact information (street address and phone numbers) 3. Help write letters or postcards to visitors and guests 4. Participate in making visits with contacts; do not worry, you will not be making this by yourself and you do not have any books to read or materials to memorize. God will give you the words to say as other pray over you in your work to share the gospel. Finally, if you have any ideas on how to let people know about our church; please share them with your elders and pastor. There are no bad ideas if it will help share the word of God.

IN CLOSING
In many ways sharing the gospel difficult for many of us, but imagine how difficult it must have been for Jesus to enter through the gates of Jerusalem astride that little donkey. No I do not mean physically. Jesus knew what was laid out before Him for that following week. He enter as a hero of man, but died an enemy of the state all to become our herald next to His father in heaven. If Jesus had not fulfilled His work to become our savior, we would have no gospel to share and even worse no grace of God and no hope of salvation here on earth. With this in mind, do we really have any true reasons to be afraid, ashamed, terrified, fear, or back away from sharing the story of Jesus and how through Him we have God’s mercy and grace? We have been commanded by God to go and share the gospel to lost people of all the nations so that they will have the opportunity to accept Him as their savior and be able to have everlasting life in heaven. God never promised that life let alone sharing the gospel would be easy, but looking at the alternative, do you want to be the one that has to look into the face of God and explain why some of His children are not in heaven thanks to your unwillingness or fear kept you for doing what He command us all to do? Think about it and pray about it; there is always some way you can share the gospel with those around you who do not truly know God.
Serving Our Savior,
Robert Blair, Elder, Westside Baptist Church
