WESTSIDE WHISTLE V. 3 I. 5
Are you going to be ready when the Lord calls?

“If we are not willing to go and share the message of the Gospel of Christ, then what are we here for?  God created us, so why are we often so unwilling to step forward and share this with other?

STUDY OF JOSEPH & THE MANY COLORS OF HIS LIFE:

Join us at Westside Baptist Church Sunday morning as we look at the story and life of Joseph found within the book of Genesis; chapters 37 – 50.  We will see how Joseph’s life can be transferred and interact in our own personal lives today.    Please feel welcome to join us Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM as Brother J. T. leads us through this study of Joseph’s life.  Each Sunday’s sermon is a standalone sermon, but over all they are tied together to tell an amazing and all encompassing life for Joseph that God is truly a full part of throughout it all.  You will learn something new from man’s past as God build our future.  If you miss a sermon in this series, do not worry, you can listen to them via our website at www.wsidebaptist.com.  You will find the sermons listed under the SERMONS tap at the top of the webpage for your convenience.

GREATER THINGS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE WITH LITTLE STEPS:

Wednesday evenings, Westside Baptist is doing “GREATER THINGS” in our community.  What are you doing Wednesday evenings? We are meeting at the Clarity Solutions Center located at 116 E. Memorial Drive in E-Town starting at 6:30 pm.  We always have a time of prayer and then community service work to follow.  The little projects and tasks we are performing to help the Clarity Center are making a difference for those that come there seeking assistance.  We may not be able to move mountains, but every job we do to improve things for others is a blessing for both the recipient and the worker at the same time.  We all have many talents and skills, so why not join us Wednesday evening and user your gifts God blessed you with for the betterment of our community.   We hope to see you there.

WELCOME HOME TO OUR HOME BIBLE FELLOWSHIP:

Our small groups have merged into our Home BIBLE Fellowship.  We have a time of fellowship with friends and family, a LITTLE (or a lot) of food, a time of prayer, and BIBLE study.  Everyone is welcome as we know you will benefit by growing closer to your fellow Christian brothers and sisters at Westside Baptist.  It is a blessing seeing Jim and Barbara Eastridge wanting to open their home up to us to continue to host this Sunday evenings starting at 6:00PM.  Their home is located at 1101 Kings Way, Elizabethtown, KY 42701.  If you have not been involved in our small groups now it the time for you to give it a try; so come on over and give it a try this Sunday.

HOME BIBLE FELLOWSHIP STUDY PLANNED TO START ON 03/14/2010:

"The Holiness of God" study by R. C. Sproul is tentatively scheduled to start on Sunday March 14.   The study guides were ordered, but the order was partially filled since the guides are on back order.  They are scheduled to ship on Tuesday, March 16.  When the study does start, remember that this is a 7 week study that incorporates the study guide along with videos.  We encourage everyone to join in; there is a time of fellowship, sharing of wonderful food and study time.  If you did not order a copy of the study guide through Philip Moore, you can still order your own copy, and with some luck, we may have an extra copy or two for you to use if you do not have one.

IN CLOSING

Often man seams to say to God that we know what we should be doing, but God it is easier if I let someone else do it for me.  In reality, we should be doing the opposite and doing what is asked and then asking what else can I do to assist you?  Imagine where the world would be today if the first disciples would have looked at Jesus and just said “I am sorry we cannot go with you, we are too busy fishing for fish to worry about fishing for men.”   Yes, Jesus would have found others to follow him, but he had to have a starting point.  Without a starting point for reference in our linear existence as we see and reference things, we would not be able to notice a starting point in time, when the end times are approaching or to even mark our everyday routines; but God does.  That is why mankind has been charge with the task of sharing the Gospel of Christ.  This same task is renewed with every generation of man that is alive today and is yet to be born until Jesus returns to take His children home to heaven.  We do not need a formal plan our outline to share the story of Jesus, all we need to do is share the truth, to those that are lost and have open hearts to listen to it.  God will do the rest.  It is up to you, are you going to be a fisher of men or a fisher of fish?  The choice you make is one that changes you life forever, so choice wisely.

Serving Our Savior,

Robert Blair,
Westside Baptist Church Elder
